Welcome to Appalachian Arts Studio
Appalachian Arts Studio was created to encourage and nurture the appreciation and participation of the arts to all who enter its doors. Through workshops and hands on experience we provide a journey through the creative process. It is our sincere desire at the Appalachian Arts Studio to nurture the individual creative soul through artistic expression. Chainsaw Carving, Pottery, Painting, Printmaking, and Primitive Arts are taught and encouraged at the Studio.
Our gallery, studio, workshops and events happen in and around our home atop Boot Jack Mountain, in scenic Ridgway Pennsylvania. Appalachian Arts events like the Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous is an international affair that attracts artists and visitors nation wide and beyond.
Appalachian Arts and Education, Inc., the non-profit entity of Appalachian Arts Studio, develops programs that advocate the importance of the arts in education and in the community for everyone from students to seniors. Our school workshops are designed to fulfill the Pennsylvania educational curriculum.
