Mission
Appalachian Arts Studio, located at 17245 boot Jack Road
is an 8000 square foot facility created to encourage and
nurture the appreciation and participation of the arts to
all who enter its doors. Through workshops and hands on
experience we provide a journey through the creative process.
It is our sincere desire at the Appalachian Arts Studio
to re-awaken the individual creative soul through artistic
expression.
Chainsaw Carving, Pottery, Painting, Printmaking, Photography,
Primitive Arts and Environmental Programs are taught and
encouraged at the Studio.
Our gallery, studio, workshops and events happen in and
around our home atop Boot Jack Mountain, in scenic Ridgway
Pennsylvania. Appalachian Arts events like the Chainsaw
Carvers Rendezvous is an international affair that attracts
artists and visitors nation wide and beyond.
Appalachian Education, Inc., the non-profit entity of
Appalachian Arts Studio has developed place based education
programs that offer a unique partnerships through education
and community working together for the arts. Our school
workshops are designed to fulfill the Pennsylvania educational
curriculum.
New Inovation
Appalachian Education, Inc. is currently working on curriculum
for Act 48 approval. Pennsylvania teachers will soon be
able to take advantage of Apppalachian Arts Stuio's classes
for their Act 48 requirements.
Open House
Open Ouse is held at various times throughout the year.
Come and experience this enjoyable cultural exchange.
