Appalachian Arts Studio is proud to announce that we have
been selected to be part of the Pilot Project of the Pennsylvania
Wilds Artisan Trail.
Area artists will have works on display and for sale in
our 2,000 sqaure foot gallery. Our gallery continues to
reflect the works of our staff artists as well as the works
of chainsaw sculptures created by artists from all over
the world. This will make your visit to our studio a delightful
and refreshing art experience.
Rendezvous News
We are gearing up for our 10th anniversary in 2009. Keep
watching for updates. The event will be held February 21
through the 28th, 2009.
Catch some of the higlights from last years event on the
History Channel Juy 24th at 8:00 p.m. The Rendezvous was
selected for their segment of small power tools in the use
of art.
Educational News
Over 400 students from area schools in Elk, Cameron, Mckean
and Potter County have enjoyed day long workshops offered
at the Studio.
Appalachian Arts Studio has hosted art openings exhibiting
Ridgway Area High School's students art works. An open house
was enjoyed by community and students alike.
Area News
Appalachian Arts Studio has been afforded the opportunity
to continue the "woodlins" project. This on-going
project and placement of various sculptures thouout the
Appalachian Region has been funded through grant programs
including North West PA Great Outdoors, National Endolwment
for the Arts and Lumber Heritage Region. All in partnership
with Elk County Council on the Arts.8 to 10 New scuptures
will be created to be on display at the new Heritage Park
in St. Marys, PA.These sculptrues will be a welcome attidion
to expanse collection of "woodlin" sculptures
thoughout the region..
Woodlins trail maps are available at the Visitors Center,
Appalachian Arts Studio and various locations throughout
