Studio supports working artists in their exploration of
both traditional and experimental printmaking. Through workshops,
lectures and exhibits, we encourage interest in the art
and history of the fine arts print.
Our stuido
presents workshops, lectures, field trips, and exhibitions
about the art of the print, led by accomplished professionals
and scholars in historical, contemporary and technical areas
of printmaking.
It is our
goal to help the comunity recognize the expressive power
of all printmaking media and offers instruction in relief,
stone and plate lithography, monotype, solar and photo transfer
printmaking as well as their photographic adjuncts. The
studio is a collegial, creative and experimental environment,
with excellent facilities.
About the Studio
Printmaking studios offer equipment access to artists who are trained in printmaking techniques including lithography, silkscreen, woodcut and photographic processes.. Traditional printmaking studios offer collaboration with expert printmakers to allow artists to create genuine Fine Art prints.
Printing Department: 30 x 40 fuch and lang lithographic press, large selection of lithographic stones, ranging from 4x 5 to 18 x 20. Vandercook proofing press for relief printing. Materials for grinding and processing stone lithography, aluminum plate lithography, relief printing and mono printing.
Photography lab: large dark room will facilitate 6 workers at one time. 2 omega 4x5 35mm enlargers, 3 35mm enlargers, 1 super chrogma color head enlarger, supplies and materials for large black and white and color processing.
